WTF is it?

Kerplunk is a desktop application built on Adobe AIR. Initially, it will be a client application for Twitter. It will rapidly grow to become a social media client application, supporting many social web sites.

It will be open source, plug-in based, and designed to make it quick and easy for third party developers to extend the application.
